General Options
General options window consists of four tabs. You can switch between them selecting the appropriate radio button:
General
The first tab General allows setting general parameters of the work of the program:
- Ask before removing a Web site from the list - if this check box is selected, the program will ask you co confirm deleting a partner link from the project
- Maximum number of parallel HTTP connections - set the maximum number of HTTP connections which will be used for when working online
- Maximum number of parallel FTP connections - set the maximum number of FTP connections which will be used for when working with FTP server
- Default E-mail - set the default e-mail template for the sites, which will be found using Find New Partners Wizard. For example, if you select webmaster@..., for every domain in the project, where the real addresses will not be found on the pages, the following pattern will be applied: webmaster@domain.com.
- Default message pattern - select the default e-mail template for the sites, that will be found using Find New Partners Wizard.
- Language - select one of the available in the program languages from the drop-down menu
Proxy options
Proxy options tab allows tuning program for work with a proxy server if you are using proxy to connect to the Internet
- Use proxy - select this check box if you are working via a proxy server
- Server - the address or hostname of the proxy server
- Port - set port number, which is used by your proxy server for establishing HTTP connections. By default the port value is set to 3128 (the most widely used)
- Server requires authentication - if your proxy server requires authentication, select this check box and specify the following information: Username - your username, by which the proxy server identifies you; Password - associated with your username password for the proxy server.
Search Parameters
- Maximum number of links to find for each SE - set the maximum number of positions to be analyzed in the search results of each search engine when querying for new partners with Find New Partners Wizard.
- Consider sites with and without prefixes the same - sometimes the sites are tuned so that a prefix is attached before the domain name of the site, creating various nodes, for example a site http://mysite.com may have prefixes http://mail.mysite.com, http://admin.mysite.com, etc. Moreover, the prefix www may be used to feed alternative version of the site. But in most cases the pages with and without www are served with same content. So, if this check box is selected, the program will consider such pages the same.
- Follow links on the partner page if the link back not found - if the program does not find a link to your site on the page where it used to be located, it will follow the links on that page and scan subsequent pages for your link
- Follow links on your page if the partner link not found - the program will check if the link to your partner is still present on your partners page; if it is not there, the program will follow the links on that page and scan subsequent pages for your partner's link
Web browser
Web browser tab allows setting default browser for opening links. Click Browse... and specify path to the executable file of your favorite internet-browser.
External FTP client
- External FTP client - if you want to use another ftp-client instead of the one, used in the program you can specify path to its executable file by clicking Browse...

Max number of links on a single generated page - set the maximum number of links to be placed on a partners page, generated with the FTP module on the Link Table
Mail Options
This tab allows configuring mail information for sending e-mail link exchange requests.
- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - set address of your outgoing mail server (SMTP server), used for sending e-mails
- Port - set your SMTP server port
- Type - select the type of connection to SMTP server
- Account - your account (username) on your SMTP server
- Password - associated with your e-mail account password
FTP Uploader Options
This tab allows configuring built-in FTP client settings.
- Host - specify the hostname or address of your proxy server, for example: ftp.myserver.com
- Port - specify the port of your FTP-server. By default this value is set to 25
- Username - your login on the server. If it does not require authentication, you can use default value (anonymous) for establishing connection
- Password - associated with your username password, used for logging in to FTP-server
- Folder - type in path to the root page of your site in the server
You can save these settings as your default FTP settings for further use by clicking Save as Default Settings, and then load them by clicking Load Default Settings. To make the program use passive FTP connection select Passive Mode check box.
Update...
If you choose this menu item the program will connect to program support server and check if there is newer Search Engine Scripts database available there. If there is newer database version available, you can choose to update it. It is strongly recommended that you run Update module after you have registered the program, since in trial version only one search engine is available.
